Background and Education of Bernadette Fife

Bernadette Fife has worked in every aspect of the theatre throughout the Bay Area and beyond. Originally from New York, Bernadette now resides in San Jose, CA. Some of Bernadette’s most recent directorial endeavors include "Guys and Dolls" at Carlmont High School, “Working” at Burlingame High School in Burlingame, CA, “Seussical” and “The Wizard of Oz” for The Bay Area Educational Theatre Company in San Mateo, CA, “Les Miserables”, “ The Crucible” and “Our Town” at Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, CA and “Grease” for the Peninsula Youth Theatre in Mountain View, CA. In 2003 she was nominated for a Felix Award for her portrayal of Sister Hubert in Broadway West’s production of “Nunsense” in Fremont, CA. Favorite rolls she’s played include: Sister Hubert in "Nunsense", Ma & Aunt Min in “The Phantom Rider or The Scourge of the Hills, Reba in “You Can’t Take it with You”, Portia in “The Merchant of Venice”, Kate in “The Taming of the Shrew”, and Edith in “Blithe Spirit”. Bernadette has a degree in Theatre with an emphasis in Directing from San Francisco State University.
